A Chic Elopement in West Palm Beach

Eloping in West Palm Beach in the Spring means two things: Vibrant full blooms and European charm intersect beautifully, creating a chic escape from the usual Florida beach scenes. And an intimate open space to create without compromising or rushing.

As a wedding and elopement photographer in South Florida, not compromising or rushing means big things to my creative process which is why I adore working in this little (hidden) corner of West Palm Beach.

I’ve always admired that Old World architectural charm and whimsical vibes that hide around every corner of West Palm Beach. As a photographer, this city feels historic, romantic, and incredibly chic/ editorial.

When you take away that long guest list and rigid timeline of a traditional wedding day, you have space to actually be present and enjoy these stunning, postcard-worthy backgrounds.

West Palm Beach Elopement and Wedding Photographer

I love a balanced approach to photography. Documentary –spontaneously capturing those quiet, intimate moments; and editorial direction to make your images feel like they belong in a magazine. Of course, that is only my approach and at the end of the day, every session, every wedding day will look different as they reflect the couples’ own energy and personalities.

Planning Your Elopement in West Palm Beach

Here are a few things you should know if you are planning on something a little bit more adventurous and intimate for your nuptials:

Timing is Key.

Golden hour -that very first morning light or the hour right before the sun sets will give you the most ideal light for soft, editorial tones. The sun in Florida can be extremely harsh (not to mention the heat) so the timing has to be intentional.

Another thing about timing to consider is weekday vs. weekend. This elopement happened during the middle of the week which  was perfect for crowd and traffic levels especially as we used so many public spaces.

Lean into the Florals.

If you are eloping in the Springtime in West Palm Beach, you don’t need a big floral budget when the city is already covered in the most beautiful, vibrant blooms. Use the natural landscape to your benefit -unless, of course, you want to spend on florals. I won’t object.

Trust your Photographer, Trust the Process.

I have 8 years of experience as a wedding photographer and I’ve been a bride myself, I can confidently say I know how much goes into even the most simple plans. My goal here is always to support and guide you so that you can stay present and relaxed because, at the end of the day, all of this shows in your pictures.

Choosing to elope vs. having a traditional wedding isn’t about compromising or “missing out”, at all. It’s about choosing an intentionally curated and intimate experience that is truly authentic to you. It’s about documenting this stage of your lives, your love story, in a unique and beautiful way. If you are ready to connect about your elopement in West Palm Beach, I’d love to hear from you.
