During my off-wedding season, I like to venture out into event photography and this floral design workshop event beautifully put together by Warehouse 12 Studio at Book The Spaces in Dania Beach was an inspiring workshop where attendees learned how to make their own arrangements with blue/purple hydrangeas, amaranthus, white roses, green bells, snapdragons, anthuriums, asparagus fern, and camellias.
Event Photography: A Floral Design Workshop
Workshops and creative or social events like these remind me why I love photographing events that bring creatives together. There’s an energy in the room that is equal parts focused and free—people laughing and connecting, experimenting, learning from one another. As a photographer, I’m drawn to those in-between moments: the hands delicately adjusting petals, the thoughtful gaze of someone choosing just the right flower, and of course: the joy of seeing a finished arrangement come to life.
This wasn’t just a flower class; it was an immersive experience. The long, minimalist table was set with ceramic lazy susan planters, chicken coop wire, and the most beautiful selection of blooms. Each seat awaited a guest ready to create something beautiful and each arrangement reflected the hands that created it.
What I loved most about being part of this event was how intentional it felt. Each detail was designed to spark creativity and connection. The mirrors behind the floral table added light and dimension, giving the space a reflective calmness that balanced the colorful blooms. It was the perfect backdrop for capturing clean, editorial-style images that highlight both the artistry of floral design and the elegance of the setting.
Whether you’re a florist, event planner, or simply a creative soul, workshops like this are a reminder that community and creativity go hand in hand. As a wedding and events photographer based in Miami and West Palm Beach, it’s always an honor to document the heart behind the work, the passion, the craft, and the beautiful chaos that unfolds when people come together to make something meaningful.
