This vintage style, Spring elopement in Upstate New York was a romantic vision brought to life.
The day began slowly and gently at Windrift Hall –a historic and charming home in West Coxsackie that exudes French countryside home on the hills (minus the plane ticket!).
It is the kind of place that inspires you to slow down and it’s perfect for couples who are looking for an intimate and private experience connected to nature.
Perhaps one of my favorite details about this intimate wedding celebration was the artistic fusion of Spring florals, citrus, and the couples’ vintage style –it all added so much whimsy, dreaminess, and elegance to an otherwise rainy day. A little side note, couples! It is so common to have a little rain on your wedding day! Please don’t let this discourage you from having the day you dreamed of.

We spent some time exploring the property for romantic portraits and it was all so incredibly effortless. While I always try to photograph not just how the day looked but also how it felt, this is always my number one tip for the best portraits: allocate time! Whether it’s before all your guests arrive or while your guests are at cocktail hour –a stress-free portrait experience does not happen while you’re rushing.
