Sunrise Maternity Session in Miami

Attempting to see a sunrise in South Florida during the Summer months is playing weather roulette. There, I said it.
You may get an epic, soul-awakening, stunning, glorious sunrise or you may get an angry and powerful storm that could scare you shitless. It is what it is.
The beauty, though, is in deciding to stay for it. Stay for the good and the bad. Stay and watch that storm unfold in front of you!
And that’s exactly what we did for J’s sunrise maternity session at the beach. We met on a Friday at 6 AM at the spot we planned on and we were ready to create
together, but we were greeted with lightning and thunder and a solid hour of downpour.
“I’m optimistic about this”, I kept telling J.

I always say it, the magic happens when you trust your photographer. Also, don’t be quick to cancel plans if it looks like it’s going to rain!
No rain, no flowers…. amiright?

One last tip for your Summer sessions: don’t plan anything immediately after your photo session. I mean not only will you get soaked
if you book me at the beach but your session may unexpectedly go for longer than anticipated. In this case, we spent two and a half hours
at the beach, one hour just waiting for the rain to stop, about 20 minutes in total between walking and changing clothes.
Be ready for anything and don’t say I didn’t warn you!
